JEFF GANUS HOLDS OFF ANDY BOZELL TO WIN “JIM BLOUNT CLASSIC”

Jeff Ganus made it 3 in a row at NPS after holding off Andy Bozell for most of the race to win the Jim Blount Classic. Ganus worked his way through the field and passed Shawn Amor on lap 37 to lead the rest of the way. Fast time "Flyin" Brian Ross' night came to an unexpected early end on lap 5 after being involved in a crash.

Ganus has now won the last 3 features he has raced in at NPS dating back to last season, including bringing home the $20,000 prize at the 13th Annual Summer Sizzler. Andy Bozell finished 2nd, followed by Shawn Amor, Kenny Whitman and Andrew DeVreese.

Bryce Schaefer brought home his first Hobby Stock feature win of the season after falling just short on the previous weeks. Travis Schlabach and Kevin Gunkel took themselves out of contention after crashing battling for the lead and left the door open for Schaefer to bring home the Dean Kiser memorial race. Eric Kiser had his best finish of the young season coming in 2nd.

Kevin Allen held off point leaders Marcus Carlson and Chad Wiser to win his first feature of the season in the Mini Stocks and Spencer Wortinger won again in the FWD's.
