T.  FUEL CELL MUST BE LOCATED TO THE REAR OF REAR AXLE AND BETWEEN THE INSIDE EDGES OF THE REAR TIRES.  CELL MUST BE MINIMUM OF 8" OFF THE GROUND AT ITS LOWEST POINT.  CONTAINER MUST BE MADE OF METAL.

U.  BODY WIDTH MAXIMUM OF 82" OVER THE FRONT TIRES, STEADILY DECREASING IN WIDTH TO A MAXIMUM OF 76" AT THE CENTER OF REAR AXLE, THEN TAPERING TO A MAXIMUM OF 72" AT THE REAR SPOILER. WIDTH MEASUREMENT WILL BE TAKEN AT THE TOP OF THE BODY, ABOVE FRONT AND REAR WHEEL. MAX. OF 82" IS ALLOWED AT BOTTOM OF DOORS, BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR TIRES.

D.   CANISTER  SHOCKS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
E.  MAXIMUM 4 SHOCKS AND 4 SPRINGS.
F.  BESIDES BRAKES, NO ADJUSTMENTS OF ANY KIND IN COCKPIT AREA WHERE DRIVER CAN ACCESS.
G.  MINIMUM WEIGHT OF CAR WITH DRIVER IS 2800 LBS.
H.  STEEL HEADS WILL BE ALLOWED 50 LBS.

3.  ENGINE
A. ENGINE MAY BE INTERCHANGABLE, NUMBER ONE SPARK PLUG MUST BE WITHIN 4" OF BALL JOINT.
B. CARBURETOR MAXIMUM OF ONE FOUR-BARREL WITH 2 RETURN SPRINGS.
C.  CAST IRON BLOCKS (ALUMINUM HEADS MAY BE USED).  MUST HAVE FUNCTIONAL STARTERS.  MAY RUN CAST IRON OR ALUMINUM INTAKE MANIFOLDS.  AIR CLEANERS ARE MANDATORY AND MUST BE UNDER HOOD.  (NO HOLES THROUGH HOOD.)
D.  DRY SUMPS, OR ANY EXTERNAL OIL PUMP SYSTEM MAY BE USED WITH A MINIMUM OF 10" CRANKSHAFT HEIGHT.  NO MINIMUM CRANKSHAFT HEIGHT ON WET SUMP ENGINES.
E.  HEADERS ARE ALLOWED; EXHAUST MUST GO BACK PAST DOORS.
F.  IF USING A STOCK CLUTCH, AN IRON BELL HOUSING OR STEEL SCATTER SHIELD MUST BE USED.
G.  NO V-6 ENGINES.
H.  $250 CLAIM ON IGNITION BOXES. IGNITION BOXES MAY BE IMPOUNDED AFTER RACE FOR 1 WEEK TO BE TESTED.  MSD BOX MUST BE MOUNTED OUT OF REACH OF DRIVER SITTING IN CAR.

4. DRIVE LINE
A.  NO FOUR-WHEEL OR ALL WHEEL DRIVE, OR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.  MUST HAVE REVERSE GEAR.
B.  FLOATER WIDE FIVE OR QUICK CHANGE REAR ENDS ARE ALLOWED.
C.  MUST HAVE FOUR WHEEL OPERATING BRAKES, IRON ROTORS ONLY.
D.  DRIVE SHAFT MUST BE PAINTED WHITE, AND HAVE SAFETY HOOP.

5. FUEL SYSTEM
A.  FUEL CELL IS MANDATORY, MUST HAVE APPROVED GUARD, AND MUST HAVE 8" GROUND CLEARANCE.
B.  STEEL LINES OR BRAIDED HOSE MUST BE USED AS FUEL LINE FROM FUEL SOURCE TO FUEL PUMP.  RUBBER HOSE MAY BE USED AT FUEL SOURCE AND FUEL PUMP CONNECTIONS. NO FUEL LINE IN COCKPIT AREA.
C.  NO ALCOHOL OR NITROUS OXIDE.
D.  FUEL CELL MUST BE MOUNTED BETWEEN REAR TIRES AND BETWEEN FRAME RAILS.

6. TIRES AND WHEELS
 MAXIMUM 10" WIDE STEEL OR ALUMINUM SAFETY WHEELS. NO CARBON FIBER OR PLASTIC WHEELS.


7. MISCELLANEOUS
A. NO ELECTRIC OR HYDRAULIC TRACTIONAL DEVICES ALLOWED.
B. ANY INFRACTIONS FROM THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO A WEIGHT PENALTY OR WILL NOT RACE UNTIL CAR MEETS RULES.
C.  BALLAST WEIGHT MUST BE PAINTED WHITE AND HAVE CAR NUMBER ON IT.
